MEET RILEY AND ALLISON

Welcome to Faran & Quill by Riley and Allison! Faran & Quill was created as a passion project to serve both as a creative outlet as well as a space where we could share our interests, experiences, and knowledge. Our hope is for that information to be able to aid and benefit others.

Where did the name
Faran & Quill come from?

Faran in Old English means "to go, to travel, or to journey." An alternative meaning also derived from Old English is "to fare". We felt that this encapsulated both our passions for travel and exploring God's creation along with everyday, lifestyle and healthy living content. Quill represents us sharing those passions through writing on this website.

How did you meet?

Riley and Allison met while living out their passions for travel and nature when they were both working on a ranch in Montana. They now reside in Tennessee, where Riley is originally from.

Where are your favorite
places to travel?

Riley: I like to break things into categories. My favorite place in regards to art is Paris, France. History: Berlin, Germany. Nature: Yosemite NP, USA. Honorable mention is anywhere in Ireland. The people, culture, and food is phenomenal.
Allison: My favorite place so far is Scotland, without a doubt. The landscape, culture, people, and even the gloomy weather bring me so much joy.

What do you both do for work?

Riley and Allison both have degrees in and work in marketing. Riley is an alum of Freed Hardeman University and Allison is an alum of Grove City College.
